Concrete Painting and Epoxy Application
Epoxies are adhesive chemical resins. Epoxies are resistant to water, acids and alkali and do not loose their resistance over time. Epoxies are used as flooring surfaces to enhance chemical resistance against corrosion and resistance to impacts in industrial facilities.
Epoxies are commonly used in:
· High traffic, heavy load aisles (mortar epoxies are best suited for these applications).
· Battery charging stations Manufacturing plants, Food processing plants, Medical facilities, Aircraft hangars, Showrooms and garages, Warehouses and distribution facilities
· Loading docks and inventory storage areas
· Areas that have frequent contact with harsh chemicals acids/high pH chemicals.
· Areas that have frequent contact with oils or oily mists.
· Electronics manufacturing areas that require ESD (electro-static dispasition)
· Areas that require safety striping; dirctional or emergency evacuation insturctions; solid contrasting border/perimeter colors.
· Areas that require high tractive surfaces where a broadcast material such as quartz crystals, or other rough surface coatings are required.
· Areas that are frequently or consistently exposed to water such as wash bays, showers or other rinse areas.
· Any area that requires clean colored floor surfaces.
Common environments for epoxies include:
Ø Manufacturing plants
Ø Data center and computer processing facilities
Ø Food processing plants
Ø Medical production facilities
Ø Aircraft hangar
Ø Showrooms and garages
Ø Warehouses and distribution facilities
